They will still yield fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and very green, Psalm 92:14

Have you sat down to talk with someone beyond your years? They know stuff that you don’t. I promise you could learn a thing or two from someone who is your senior. You could say the same about yourself. You have experiences that may benefit someone else.

I have known many people throughout my life who have wisdom far beyond mine. I love hearing them talk. The stories and lessons they have learned are rich indications of the hand of God. Provision and protection in perils. Examples of faith in action. Most are willing to talk with you.

Go and listen to someone. Ask them to share their salvation story. They may ask you to share yours. Be prepared to hear some amazing stuff! Take a snack to share too. It is always a blessing to break bread together. It doesn’t matter if you are older or younger. Go listen. Go share.

Let’s Pray

Holy Father, thank You for the fellowship You give us with others. God, keep me from isolating myself so that I can listen to others and share in return with them. Place people in my life that will enrich it and perhaps allow me to do the same for them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Make a list of people, older and younger, that you want to visit. Then do it. Write it out.
