A Christmas List

A white Christmas would be nice but it isn’t at the top of my list. Diamonds and gold don’t make the cut. I already have kitchen gadgets galore. I really like my car, no need for a new one.

No. The stuff on my list can’t be bought in a store. It isn’t labeled with nutritional facts. The price tag is pretty hefty though. But it is already paid in full.

It fit under and on a tree once upon a time. It won’t now. It won’t again. 

The lights on the tree and in the yard and all the neighbors’ yards combined can’t compare to the Light from my Christmas gift.

I want to share my Christmas gift. It isn’t just mine.

The Christmas gift I am looking for isn’t just for me.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:22-24 (NASB)

This is my Christmas list. For me and for you.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
